Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Liase with Group/Yards Welding Engineer for project specific welding books, P.Q.R. qualifications and troubleshoots.
  • Maintain close liaison with customer technical representatives regarding welding matters
  • Provide the necessary information and guidance on welding technical matters and specification requirements to the worksite Manager and welding supervisory personnel
  • Brief and instruct welding personnel, welders, welding operators and Non Destructive Examination (N.D.E.) technicians
  • Ensure that all welding related operations are performed in accordance with the specification requirements and in a safe and efficient manner
  • Collate and report of the “As Built” documentation relating to welding
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve welding processes
  • Run welder qualifications and maintain welders qualification register
  • Capable of running Welding Procedure Specification (W.P.S.) qualification with a Senior Welding Engineer
  • Control consumable storage and handling with Yard specific procedures and surveillance program


  • Metallurgical/Material/Mechanical Engineer plus Welding speciality
  • Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng)
  • Experience in Welding Industries
  • Knowledge in informatics (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
  • Good working knowledge of English
  • Team worker
